Socks and Pumpkin were not originally brother and sister, but they were neutered and spade at Dr. Gilvey's veterinary clinic in Cary, and came to our house in December, 1996.

Socks Socks, a black and white male cat, always proved to be most lovable but not very bright. (He once ate a fastening clip off one of Delphine's bras.)
When he got to Florida, he decided to strike out on his own. We couldn't find him, but we wish him all the best.

Pumpkin Pumpkin, better known as Pumpi, is a cute blonde kitty. Her vaguely ringed tale twitches overhead like a snake about to strike, but in no other way is she threatening. She has bitten maybe three or four times, and it's always a soft, barely detectable attack for which she seems to be asking permission.
