Tom Klingman showed up at 10:00 to drive me over to Apex to pick up the truck. Since both Tom and Dayton felt sure the Ryder truck was big enough, I didn't rent a Uhaul trailer to pull behind the pickup. Turns out they were right, and we could have put in maybe 10 percent more.
It was an all-day job. Dayton joined us when he got home, and Judy helped Delphine out in the Kitchen. The kitchen was by far the hardest part. Next in difficulty were the books from the bonus room, which, gratefully, Brian Luter had helped me carry down the prior weekend. That's when Dayton had joined Brian and me to wrangle the safe downstairs, too.
Dayton and Judy had pizza at their house afterwards, and Tom joined us. We locked the cats into the bedroom upstairs and joined them later. We were sore but we didn't break anything - in the boxes or on us.
